Three nature hunt/checklist activity sheets to use with young children when out and about exploring in nature, on a walk, or in forest school. Butterfly Hunt - 12 of our most commonly sighted butterflies here in the U.K. - all species I have spotted personally during this summer’s Big Butterfly Count! This could be used as a one off activity, or displayed to check off over the summer as and when you identify another butterfly nearby! Leaf Hunt - 12 leaves of commonly found trees including oak, sycamore, holly, hazel and horse chestnut. Tree Hunt - 16 of Britain’s most commonly found trees, showcasing identifiable features such as tree seeds, nuts, fruits or tree bark to help make it easier for little ones to recognise the trees.
